Region: Côtes du Rhône AOC, southern Rhône Valley, France.
Producer: Château Mont-Redon, a historic estate most famous for its Châteauneuf-du-Pape, but also producing high-quality Côtes du Rhône wines that reflect the same savoir-faire.
The Réserve line is intended as an approachable, fruit-forward expression of the Rhône.
A classic southern Rhône blend (exact percentages vary slightly by vintage):
Grenache (majority – ripe red fruit, warmth)
Syrah (dark fruit, spice, structure)
Mourvèdre & Cinsault (added depth, earthy notes, freshness)
Color: Deep ruby red with violet highlights.
Nose: Expressive aromas of ripe cherry, raspberry, blackberry, with notes of pepper, garrigue herbs, and a hint of licorice.
Palate: Medium-bodied, juicy and round, with smooth tannins. Flavors of red and black fruits, spice, and subtle earthy minerality.
Finish: Balanced, fresh, and food-friendly, showing both fruit brightness and Rhône spice.
Traditional Rhône vinification: stainless steel and concrete tanks to preserve fruit purity.
Aged partly in vat, partly in older oak, emphasizing freshness over heaviness.
Very versatile – pairs beautifully with:
Grilled meats (lamb chops, sausages, burgers)
Mediterranean dishes (ratatouille, roasted vegetables, pizza)
Charcuterie and cheeses
Casual pasta and stews
